Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., Sc. D. or Dr.P.H.) in a relevant field such as Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Psychology, Testing and Measurement, Epidemiology, Pharmaceutical, Neuroscience, or other quantitative-related fields, plus four years relevant experience OR Masters degree in a related field, plus seven years practical experience
  • More than 4 years of experience in clinical validation, including psychometric evaluation of novel measures and value generation of quantitative evidence in digital health
  • Knowledge and experience in psychometric methods, e.g., classical test theory, Rasch, for performance assessment
  • Programming and visualization using R, SAS, Python, or similar
  • Ability to lead and influence strategically and persuade thoughtfully to acquire desired outcomes while maintaining effective organizational relationships
  • Strong influencing and senior stakeholder leadership skills
  • Ability to challenge the status quo, take ownership and hold self and others accountable
  • Passion for finding innovative ways to apply research findings to complex, real-world contexts

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive clinical validation strategies for novel endpoints across therapeutic areas
  • Lead workstreams applying psychometrics, clinimetrics, and statistics to generate evidence of patients’ experiences with treatment throughout the drug development lifecycle
  • Design, conduct, and interpret psychometric, clinimetric, or statistical analyses for the validation of novel endpoints using data from COAs and sensors/wearables in clinical trials
  • Establish fit-for-purpose visualization of data
  • Prepare, review, and publish data to ensure clinical validation findings are effectively communicated in scientific reports, presentations, publications, and regulatory dossiers
  • Plan and conduct meetings with content experts for endpoint performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., Sc. D. or Dr.P.H.) in a relevant field
  • Experience with data from multiple sources, including wearables and sensors
  • Deep understanding of novel digital development framework with experience
  • Conducting outcomes research studies and communicating study findings to internal and external audiences
  • Diligence – attention to detail and ability to manage a program of concurrent activities
  • Resilience – ability to overcome and motivate others in the face of a changing environment
