Director/Senior Director of Engineering – Ads Platform

Requirements

• A proven track record of delivering highly scalable and reliable infrastructure systems
• Deep knowledge of advertising technology, particularly in the areas of ad serving, measurement, and identity management and ads manager and format
• Extensive experience in building and managing large-scale, distributed systems that handle high-throughput, low-latency requirements
• Strong understanding of data processing pipelines and real-time serving systems
• 8+ years in an engineering management role with 2+ years in a Senior leadership role (org size 50+)
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with product, data science, and business stakeholders
• Proven ability to drive technical strategy and make architectural decisions that balance performance, scalability, and maintainability

Responsibilities

• Shape and grow a high-performance engineering team focused on building robust advertising and product infrastructure
• Hire, mentor, and develop senior engineers, managers, and leaders in the areas of ad serving, measurement, and identity systems
• Create a culture of engineering excellence, emphasizing scalability, reliability, and innovation in advertising technology
• Partner closely with product teams and other engineering groups to develop powerful, flexible infrastructure/product solutions
• Lead the development and optimization of key advertising infrastructure components, including: Product infrastructure: Retrieval infrastructure, ranking infrastructure, and ad server systems; Measurement systems for accurate and timely reporting of ad performance; Identity management systems for user privacy and effective targeting; Advertiser, Publisher Experience and APIs
