Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field are desirable.
  • Professional certifications such as CTP (Certified Treasury Professional), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or MBA (Master of Business Administration) are highly desirable.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a treasury or finance role within a multinational company in corporate finance or treasury roles such as Financial Analyst, Accountant, or Treasury Analyst.
  • Knowledge of treasury management principles, including cash management, risk management, and corporate finance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in managing liquidity, financial analysis, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of daily cash positioning and forecasting, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Optimize cash flow, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with other finance teams to improve cash flow forecasting and reporting.
  • Administration of bank accounts, including opening, closing, cash pooling, and maintaining account documentation.
  • Regulatory compliance, bank KYC, internal controls and support internal and external audit as required.
  • Oversee daily cash management operations, ensuring adequate liquidity for WPP’s US operations.
  • Oversee short-term investment and borrowing activities, complying with Group Treasury policies.
  • Oversee short-term funding including up to $1bn of commercial paper, short term credit lines and receivables finance lines.
  • Support other corporate finance activities as needed, such as dividend payments and debt management.
  • Support the optimization and standardization of the global treasury management system (TMS) within the US and on Global deliverables overseen by the Treasury Steering Committee.
  • Assist with the integration of treasury data and reporting into relevant financial systems.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Finance+ (WPP shared services), and other relevant teams on treasury-related projects.
  • Administration of banking portal and ensure compliance to Data and Technology audit requirements.
  • Build deep relationship with CFOs, Finance and Commercial leaders across WPP’s Agencies and influence decisions.
  • Develop and enhance relations with WPP’s relationship banks bringing their advice and expertise to bear as required for risk management or other purposes.
  • Help the integration, development and reporting of this in the central treasury system, IT2 and in the recently formed Treasury Shared Services team in Bangalore.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating financial risks related to treasury activities.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of FX hedging strategies, ensuring compliance with Group Treasury policy.
  • Contribute to regular treasury risk and other reporting as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA, CTP or MBA or any relevant Accounting/Treasury or Risk related qualification.
  • Experience with treasury management systems (IT2 a plus, Wells Fargo Vantage, Citibank Citi direct, JP Morgan Chase Access, Bank of America CashPro, HSBCnet, RBC Express).
  • Experience in Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power App and Power Query).
  • Experience in the media, advertising, or a related sector.
