Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12 years’ experience, Master’s and 10 years experience, PhD and 7 years experience, HS Diploma and 16 years experience
- Hands-on Active Directory service engineering to include DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services. Will accept years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Must be able to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, have good communication skills, work well in a team environment, have good interpersonal skills, be a quick learner, and have a positive, can-do attitude.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory troubleshooting and remediation of DNS services and InfoBlox integration for DNS and IPAM management.
- Hands-on experience with F5 Load Balancers, Azure cloud DNS services, InfoBlox hardware to include Infoblox Network Discovery, PKI Certificate integration, Active Directory integration and services.
- Good knowledge of PKI certificate usage in integration in DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services and device characteristics.
- Good knowledge of network hardware, services and integration for LAN – DNS, DHCP, F5, Routers, Switches, Firewalls
- Hands-on experience supporting requirements gathering, systems development, systems testing, deployment and customer acceptance.
- Must be able to support the generation of documented processes and procedures for use by operations personnel.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Familiarity with Hardware/Software Change and Configuration Management Processes
- Must have strong communication skills with both Technical and Non-Technical personnel.
- Must hold an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS clearance.
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Good familiarity with Microsoft Visio for drawing documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for DNS, DHCP and IPAM technologies used by federal customers in classified and unclassified environments
- Perform subject matter expert in InfoBlox products to include architecture, design, configuration, lifecycle engineering, and tier 3 support
- Responsible for knowledge transfer of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM capabilities and best practices to other team members supporting the Network Technologies (NT) team
- Provide Day-to-day network service order engineering (adds, moves, and changes)
- Responsible for design, configuration, implementation, and documentation of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM technologies
- Follow all change management processes in support of lifecycle engineering
- Assist in development of new and/or upgraded DNS, DHCP, and IPAM capabilities used at the Department of State
- Ensure maximum uptime is maintained for all DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services.
- Communicate with customers, program leadership, and other engineers on engineering, support, and project management status
- Collaborate daily with the Network Technology (NT) team and other groups across the Department of State
- Support engineering and tier 2/3 O&M for network monitoring (traffic, health, faults), and/or security related tools systems.
- Provide Tier II/III Support to include in-depth analysis and troubleshooting of issues
- Support remediation of patch and package installation failures, installing or removing patches, and proactively maintaining and monitoring system compliance
- Perform O&M activities related to the management of enterprise tools to include maintenance actions, engineering changes, upgrades, and remediation of potential security vulnerabilities.
- Support A&A efforts and the development of systems administration processes for 24/7 Operations personnel.
- Support Configuration and Change Management processes to obtain approval and document system modifications and software/patch deployments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Engineer (MCSE: Core Infrastructure)
- Cisco Certified (CCIE, CCNP)
- Advanced Security certifications (e.g. CISSP, Security+) and training in enterprise systems and/or tools
- Cloud certifications Azure, AWS, Google, Oracle, etc.
- Experience supporting Department of State, other Federal, or DoD systems on both unclassified and classified networks
