Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and typically 0+ years of related work experience is required.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain required FDOT CTQP certificates and Intermediate Temporary Traffic Control (MOT) certification within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Receive general supervision from the Project Engineer and Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress.
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Perform field inspection of the contractor’s operations to ensure compliance with contract documents.
- Perform sampling and testing of component materials and completed work in accordance with appropriate standards and procedures.
- Prepare daily reports to document contractor work operations.
- Enter daily reports in Site Manager and testing results into Materials Acceptance and Certification (MAC) database.
- Perform quantity take-offs, and field measure or calculate installed material quantities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering In Training (EIT) certificate is strongly preferred for candidates without previous construction experience.
