Requirements
- Graduation from a Cardiovascular / Ultrasound program or equivalent experience required
- Registry eligible for certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and hemodynamics required
Responsibilities
- Perform high quality echocardiograms for interpretation and diagnosis by a Cardiologist
- Organize and prioritize patient exams
- Contribute to unit teamwork
- Assist in the orientation and training of residents, students, and visitors assigned to the Echocardiography Laboratory
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate of Arts/Science or bachelor’s degree / graduation from a Cardiovascular / Ultrasound program or equivalent experience preferred
- One year of training/experience in performing cardiac ultrasound procedures including 2D, M-Mode and Doppler preferred
- 2-4 years of work experience preferred
