Requirements
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent
- Skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through schooling training and experience related to echo including in two-dimensional, doppler, color doppler, transesophageal echocardiology (TEE), transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echo and understanding of complex congenital heart disease and surgical repairs
- CRT-Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) – ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or CRT-Cardiac Sonographer, registered (RCS) within 180 days
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or ARC within 90 days
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of cardiac testing including, stress, transesophageal, transthoracic, dobutamine stress echocardiograms and others as indicated (ICE, 3D, strain, specialty and fetal echocardiograms)
- Calculate acquired data and prepare study for medical staff interpretation
- Perform ultrasound tests appropriate for patient specific morphology and pathology
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of relevant experience in two-dimensional, doppler, color doppler, transesophageal echocardiology (TEE), transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echos and understanding of complex congenital heart disease and surgical repairs
