EHS Manager

A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field with at least 5 years experience
Must have OSHA 30 hrs. certification
Expert level data analysis and risk assessment capabilities
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report findings and make recommendations
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to group projects

Develop and maintain safety and environmental policies and procedures
Create and oversee safety, environmental and sustainability goals and objectives
Monitor and evaluate safety, environmental and sustainability programs and initiatives
Identify and address potential safety, environmental and sustainability risks and hazards
Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with safety, and environmental regulations
Collect and analyze data related to injuries, environmental impact and compliance
Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Communicate safety and environmental performance to upper management
Identify cost saving opportunities and implement strategies to chemical and tank management
Source and purchase necessary ergo and safe tools, PPE equipment and materials
Communicate with government agencies, community groups, and other stakeholders
Address any concerns or complaints related to environmental impact, i.e. spills and releases
Participate in customer and or public meetings and hearings regarding environmental issues
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions

Advanced EHS certifications, such as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), preferred
Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) certification highly preferred
3 years experience in Chemical and Environmental Management
