Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years aerospace-related engineering experience.
- Experience with Digital, Analog and power electronics product design with focus on Digital electronics.
- Schematic Capture and PCB layout experience with Altium Designer or similar.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and validation of electrical systems for SkyOS.
- Implement hardware designs and verify compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., DO-160, DO-254).
- Conduct lab-based testing and assist in troubleshooting issues with flight-critical electronics and associated equipment.
- Help design and refine test fixtures to streamline validation processes and improve overall testing efficiency.
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans and procedures, to support regulatory and quality requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineers and stakeholders to refine system requirements and ensure project objectives are met.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with power supplies, definition and design, with a focus on reliability and ruggedness a plus.
- Experience with multi-bus connectivity and interfacing including backplanes, ARINC 429, RS422, CAN, I2C, SPI, etc.
- Knowledge of product design lifecycle, including interfacing with contract manufacturers, dealing with component obsolescence, etc.
- Experience with documentation control systems, either manual (excel) or PLM, ERP, etc.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment.
