Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 3+ years as a skilled user of Matlab and/or Mathematica
- 3+ years experience with modeling and simulation tools
Responsibilities
- Assists in developing and validating requirements for various electro-optical systems and components.
- Uses data analysis results and output of mod/sim tools to assist in the development and validation of requirements for electro-optical systems, mechanical systems, interconnects and structures.
- Performs trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component and interconnects performance and to optimize design around established requirements.
- Defines and conducts tests to validate performance of designs to requirements and anchor models to field data.
- Supports project management by preparing and presenting project status data. Writes simple sections of proposals to support development of new business.
- Works under general supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Experience with electro-optical systems
- Experience with FASCODE or other atmospheric modeling tools
- Experience with wave optics simulations
