Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Work Experience
- 7 years progressive work experience
- 2 years management experience
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the hospital’s Emergency Operations Plan (EOP)
- Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, ASPR, and other regulatory requirements
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Plan and execute emergency preparedness training and exercises
- Coordinate with local, state, and federal emergency management agencies and healthcare coalitions
- Lead the hospital’s Incident Command System (ICS) during activations
- Manage emergency communication systems, including mass notification and radio systems
- Assist in surge planning, patient movement coordination, and disaster recovery efforts
- Evaluate after-action reports and improve response plans accordingly
