Requirements
- 1-3 years work experience as a Student Supervisor in the TPA Ticket Office.
- Demonstrated intent to pursue a career in professional arts administration or production.
- Demonstrated positive attitude, flexibility with working assignments and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as Paciolan or Ticketmaster
- Demonstrated competencies in: Teamwork, Effective communication (written and spoken), Accuracy and attention to detail, Initiative, Decision making and critical thinking, Problem solving
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Provide frontline, hands-on customer service at events as scheduled.
- Respond to customer ticketing inquiries and engage with guest feedback through all communication channels.
- Conduct real-time and follow-up ticketing issue resolution.
- Conduct customer service follow-up.
- Create and maintain event documents and training materials for student staff.
- Assist in the day-to-day ticketing operation, including phone and web sales, refunds and exchanges, customer inquiries, and scheduled or on-demand reporting.
- Assist in mentorship of student employees.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings and events.
- Coordinate across areas for appropriate project documentation.
- Participate in EAP Program activities including monthly meetings, developmental projects and networking events.
- Attend TPA performances and activities.
- Complete a capstone project or experience.
- Perform other related functions as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work experience working in a performing arts organization.
- Fluency in more than one language.
- Familiarity with Texas Performing Arts and UT Austin venues and programs.
- Previous experience working in a university based ticket office supporting multiple venues and programming verticals.
