Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in employee relations supporting a diverse employee population across multiple states and business units required.
- Strong understanding of labor and employment law
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with natural problem-solving ability to improve situations for employees.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, to communicate clearly and effectively with different stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and information related to employee relations.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted subject matter expert on complex employee relations matters; including diagnosing problems, negotiating workable solutions, and providing a verbal or written report of fact findings to all levels of leadership.
- Build and establish relationships with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP) and business leaders at various levels.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on various issues, such as grievances, disputes, disciplinary actions, layoffs, and terminations.
- Mediate and negotiate when escalated conflicts arise; collaborate with HRBPs to help resolve escalations in a timely and effective manner.
- Manage the EthicsPoint Hotline, ensuring that cases are timely assigned, investigated and closed with required reporting.
- Collect and analyze employee relations data; provide insight(s) that drive action items to improve the employee experience.
- Provide input and solutions to help improve and/or introduce policies and programs that impact the employee lifecycle, from hiring through offboarding.
- Develop, plan, and communicate updates on employee relations processes, policies, tools, and resources.
- Provide strategic support, thought partnership and coaching, to all levels of the organization.
- Monitor and comply with the relevant laws and regulations that govern employment and labor relations, such as anti-discrimination, health and safety, and collective bargaining.
- Manage employee requests for leaves of absence and accommodations and oversee process with a focus on compliance and clear communication with all involved.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field a plus, but not required.
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Certified Employee Relations Professional (CERP) certifications a plus but not required.
- Union experience preferred but not required.
