Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in an electrical technician or similar role, ideally in a high-tech manufacturing environment (experience in autonomous systems or defense is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and schematics
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies)
- Hands-on experience with electrical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting in complex systems
- Familiarity with industry standards for electrical safety and compliance (e.g., IPC standards, MIL-STD)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality results
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Responsibilities
- Perform end-of-line testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical systems for autonomous surface vessels
- Conduct final electrical checks and diagnostics on wiring harnesses, circuit boards, sensors, motors, and other critical components
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers) to assess electrical functionality
- Identify and resolve electrical issues or failures by interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
- Collaborate with the engineering team to interpret test results and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Ensure all electrical systems meet quality, safety, and compliance standards before vessels are shipped to clients
- Maintain a detailed log of all test results, repairs, and modifications
- Assist with the setup and calibration of electrical equipment used during production
- Follow best practices for electrostatic discharge (ESD) and safety standards in all electrical work
- Provide feedback to the design and engineering teams to improve product designs and streamline the testing process
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical problems in prototype vessels and support new vessel designs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with autonomous systems, unmanned vehicles, or defense technologies
- Familiarity with embedded systems, sensors, and controllers used in autonomous vessels
- Knowledge of software tools for electrical system testing and diagnostics
