Requirements
- Hands-on experience in Unix/Linux environments and Docker
- Automation & scripting in Ansible, Chef, Bash, Python or any other language
- Network troubleshooting and configuration
- Hardware and software troubleshooting including experience building and replacing system hardware
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience
Responsibilities
- Handles incident mitigation for the virtual cable modem termination systems (vCMTS)
- Partners with internal regional engineering teams to identify product reliability improvements and build automation tools
- Change implementation duties including system upgrades, risk management, automation
- Handles installation, configuration, implementation, and validation of software upgrades and hardware replacement
- Participates in an on-call/rotational shift and must be willing to work after regular business hours
- Works with product and project management to integrate and operationalize new products
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance
