Requirements
- Must have Onshore Wind turbine project experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years experience in designing renewable energy infrastructure layouts and solving real estate and permitting challenges
- Solid understanding of civil design principles, technical diligence processes, and EPC construction standards for renewable energy projects
- Working knowledge of wind, including system design, optimization, and cost drivers
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks, analyze opportunities, and make sound engineering decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a cross-functional and collaborative environment
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
Responsibilities
- Support project development from concept to completion, identifying and mitigating design, budget, and schedule risks
- Own and manage site constraint maps, layouts, designs, and system specifications, coordinating with external consultants
- Optimize site layouts for efficient land use, considering factors like equipment selection, topography, environmental constraints, and permitting requirements
- Manage and coordinate site technical diligence activities, including hydrology, geotechnical, and transportation studies
- Lead civil and structural design aspects, including cost/value engineering and design reviews
- Manage and coordinate crossing designs and negotiations with utilities and other stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience knowledge of solar and battery storage technologies
- Experience in grading, stormwater management, and erosion control
- Familiarity with automated layout tools and geospatial analysis software
- Experience with all phases of project development, from siting to construction
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D
