Engineer/ Engineer Sr – T-Line Design Standards

Bachelor’s degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET
4 or more years of related engineering experience or 2 years of related engineering experience with a Master’s degree in engineering from a program accredited by ABET
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico is encouraged and preferred
For Engineer Sr: Bachelor’s degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET with typically six (6) or more years related engineering experience OR four (4) years of related engineering experience along with a Master’s or PhD in engineering from a program accredited by ABET
For Engineer Sr: Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico is required unless approval to waive this requirement is given by the organization’s EVP

Perform engineering and design work related to the construction and maintenance of transmission lines under direct to moderate supervision
Assist in the development of specifications, guidelines, and standards for transmission line design, structure and foundation design, construction, and maintenance
Assist in the development of specifications, standards, and testing procedures for all transmission material
Assist in the evaluation and approval of transmission material and suppliers
Work with Supply Chain to assist in managing Transmission material blankets and supplier relationships
Assist in the rollout and implementation of new standards and best practices to internal and external stakeholders
Provide engineering support to the transmission regional teams in the execution of the capital work plan
Assist with the solving unique engineering issues related to construction and maintenance
Apply basics of electrical transmission systems (e.g., grounding, shielding, insulation, EMF) in the development of standards
Competence with AutoCAD
Proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
