Requirements
- 0-3 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Basic knowledge and application of engineering theories and principles, concepts, and fundamentals.
- Basic competency in applying engineering principles, fundamental concepts, practices and procedures requiring some evaluation, originality and/or ingenuity to achieve project objectives.
- Ability to perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g. Matlab, Excel, etc.).
- Planning, organizational and project management skills
- Ability to develop and exercise leadership skills.
- Effective decision-making skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing).
- Ability to think analytically, interpret codes, and regulations and practices.
- Work independently or in a team environment.
- Process information quickly and effectively handle multiple tasks.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Initially assist other engineers in design and project management. Responsibilities will increase commensurate with experience and performance.
- Assist or be responsible for engineering design, project proposals, materials procurement, planning, scheduling and coordinating projects on high pressure natural gas systems and related facilities.
- Coordinate in-house and contracted services and resources.
- Provide engineering support for construction projects and review project change requests.
- Perform analysis of pipeline and facility capacities, economic justification and feasibility studies.
- Communicate and interact effectively with internal departments and outside governmental agencies.
- Provide engineering and technical support to other departments.
- Collection, compile and analyze information and data used in engineering tasks; perform facility records research as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred Knowledge of high pressure natural gas system design, piping network analysis software modeling, government regulations relating to natural gas, and project management principles.
