Engineer – Test & Validation

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field plus 3 years of experience in a validation engineering role or related occupation
Alternatively, a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field plus 2 years of experience in a validation engineering role or related occupation
Conducting software validation/verification for electronic systems using analysis, simulation, and full-scale testing on HIL/SIL systems
Embedded software development and MATLAB Simulink for data analysis and modeling
Interpreting industry-standard drawings such as: electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs
Developing, executing, and troubleshooting test instructions and software simulations for control system applications, both on a bench and Machine Environment
Integrating test instrumentation and computerized data acquisition systems into test activities
Maintaining test cell equipment (e.g., Dspacecontrol desk) for HIL testing and performing inspections with root cause analysis for CPI

Creating and executing test plans regarding internal verification and validation
Testing software/hardware fixes, finding bugs and issues, documentation, data collection setups, machine updates, troubleshooting, and machine operation
Daily on machine test and validation activities supporting grade control setups
Assisting with developing and refining verification & validation processes for both internal and external teams
Mentoring and training activities within work group
Management of Trimble, Caterpillar and Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT) databases used in tracking product issues
