Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelors Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field degree-seeking program with an expected graduation date in Winter 2025/Spring 2026.
- Basic understanding of APIs, web services, or RESTful APIs.
- Experience with automation frameworks or scripting (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Python automation).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for learning and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Explore and experiment with OpenShift APIs to understand their functionality and compare them with VMware APIs.
- Investigate feature parity between VMware and OpenShift, documenting key differences and implications for system performance and behavior.
- Assist in the porting of regression tests from VMware to OpenShift, ensuring that test coverage remains consistent after migration.
- Develop and automate test scripts for large-scale regression test suites to ensure effective execution on OpenShift.
- Gain exposure to infrastructure-related issues such as scalability, VM mechanics, and the impact of cloud-native architecture on test performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and scaling challenges when running regression tests on OpenShift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) is a plus.
