Requirements
- Proven expertise in system architecture design for scalable data platforms.
- Deep experience with data infrastructure components, such as data lakes, warehouses, batch and real-time streaming pipelines.
- Understanding of data governance and compliance best practices.
- Hands-on experience with modern data technologies, including Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Kubernetes, and similar tools.
- Proficiency in Python or similar languages like Java, or Scala. Familiarity with SQL.
- Extensive experience with cloud-based data ecosystems, including AWS (S3, Redshift, Snowflake, EMR), GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow), or Azure.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage technical teams and drive cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction of the Data Platform, designing a scalable and high-performance architecture that evolves with the business.
- Ensure seamless integration of data systems across the company, collaborating with Engineering and Product teams to align solutions with business needs.
- Oversee critical infrastructure, including real-time data pipelines, batch processing systems and frameworks that make data compute accessible for engineering teams.
- Drive performance optimization, enhancing query performance, reducing latency, and ensuring efficient data compute.
- Implement and enforce data governance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, security best practices, and internal policies.
- Mentor and manage a team of engineers, fostering innovation and technical excellence while driving best practices for data engineering.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, evaluating and adopting new technologies to enhance our data capabilities.
