Requirements
- Current TS clearance with eligibility for SCI
- 8 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including experience in a systems engineering and/or program management environment
- Degree in science, mathematics, or engineering from an accredited university
- Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams conducting technical evaluations of complex systems
- Knowledge of systems-of-systems (SoS) engineering and architecting and model-based system engineering (MBSE)
- Exhibit high level of innovation, creativeness, and initiative
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- 12 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments (for Senior Engineering Specialist)
- Demonstrated leadership of broad multidisciplinary teams conducting technical evaluations of complex systems; cost, schedule and risk analysis; portfolio-level trade studies; and requirements development (for Senior Engineering Specialist)
Responsibilities
- Providing technical, planning, and analytical support to the NNSA
- Developing, fostering and maintaining relationships with NNSA customers to better understand their gaps and challenges
- Initiating studies designed to solve new technical problems and provide new technical solutions
- Taking initiative to inform management of perceived technical problems and recommend courses of action
- Leading cross-organizational teams
- Reaching across the Aerospace Engineering Backplane to obtain required expertise
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with the NNSA
- Advanced degree in science, mathematics, or engineering from an accredited university
- Prior experience utilizing portfolio management and digital engineering tools and processes
