Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related applicable technical field
- 12 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments
- Demonstrated leadership of broad multidisciplinary teams conducting technical evaluations of complex systems; cost, schedule and risk analysis; portfolio-level trade studies; and requirements development
- Experience using model-based system engineering (MBSE)
- Advanced experience in Systems Engineering processes including requirements traceability through entire product lifecycle
- Exhibit high level of innovation, creativeness, and initiative
- Demonstrated experience tailoring System Engineering processes to organizational needs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- A current and active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and analytical support to government customers in the area of portfolio management and system-of-systems engineering
- Interact directly with Aerospace program office personnel as well as government customers
- Support the deployment or implementation of existing Aerospace tools and frameworks with government customers
- Identify new capabilities and enhancements to current capabilities that will better support the customer base
- Initiate studies designed to solve new technical problems and provide new technical solutions
- Take initiative to inform management of perceived technical problems and recommend courses of action
- Lead multi-functional and cross-organizational projects and teams
- Act as a systems engineering subject matter expert including mentoring junior staff
- Occasional travel may be required
Preferred Qualifications
- An advanced degree (MS or PhD) in engineering, science, or equivalent technical field
- An understanding of government acquisition, research and development processes and practices used in the DoD and IC
- Knowledge of Aerospace Engineering and Technology Group (ETG) skills, capabilities, and analytical resources
