What is the Position? Evercore ISI seeks to hire an Associate for its top-ranked Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals Equity Research team located in New York City!

Primary Responsibilities: The Research Associate role spans a very broad set of responsibilities, ranging from small biotech to large pharma. There will be room to learn a very diverse skillset as well as exposure to top investors. Past members of the team have moved on to extremely coveted roles.

• Ramping up on new therapeutic areas instantly
• Public speaking & professional relationships
• Patent law
• Financial modeling

Specific Qualifications: This is a small and close-knit team. There is a high degree of exposure to investors and healthcare company executives. As a result, there is a clear expectation that the Associate has a good attitude, is self-driven, very intellectually curious and can figure things out quickly.

• PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or similar background in the natural sciences
• Comfortable working extended hours (including late nights and weekends)
• Ability to dissect clinical data and primary scientific literature
• Experience in biotech industry, consulting, or equity research ideal
• Basic understanding of financial modeling
• Industry experience and/or adjunct finance license/degree a plus
• Inquisitive and a passion to discover new insights, and eagerness to contribute

Expected Base Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000

In addition to a competitive base salary, employees may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus delivered in the form of cash and/or deferred equity. Evercore also offers a variety of benefits and programs, subject to eligibility. These include, but are not limited to:
