Requirements
- 4+ years of prior experience in equity research, investment banking, or other finance roles
- Exceptional analytical and Excel modeling capabilities
- Excellent communication skills; the job entails significant writing and PowerPoint responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Concrete understanding of / demonstrated interest in corporate finance & equity markets
- Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 (or willingness to obtain)
Responsibilities
- Develop and update company-specific and industry financial models
- Perform financial and valuation analysis of covered companies in the internet universe, including DCF models
- Author industry and company-specific research reports, including in-depth reports on specific internet trends
- Attend industry events and gather information on current trends in the internet market
- Work with other members of the team on in-depth industry reports
- Interact with buy-side clients to discuss stock theses on covered companies
- Oversee data collection and monitor investor news services
- Other duties as necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior sell-side research, buy-side research or investment banking experience is preferred
- Understanding of the internet industry or technology companies is preferred, but not required
