Requirements
- Proven track record of leading event planning and execution, ideally in B2B tech or SaaS, with a portfolio showcasing successful experiential events.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to plan, execute, and measure high-impact events.
- A creative, out-of-the-box approach to event design and experiential marketing.
- Strong project management skills, able to juggle multiple events and deadlines without ruffling feathers.
- Experience working with event platforms, marketing automation tools, and CRM systems.
- A passion for building community and crafting meaningful, educational, and fun experiences for technical audiences.
- A “get it done” attitude with a love for fast-paced, scrappy environments.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute first-party events—from brand-building conferences to intimate dinners, lively parties, hands-on workshops, and technical meetups.
- Drive sponsorships and activations at key industry conferences, ensuring MotherDuck makes a splash in all the right places.
- Design event experiences that balance education and fun, keeping our technical audience engaged while making sure every event is memorable.
- Experiment with unorthodox and unexpected event strategies to elevate our brand through experiential marketing. If there’s a quirky, standout way to make an impact, we want you to find it!
- Collaborate across teams (marketing, sales, developer relations, product, engineering) to align event strategy with business goals and ensure we’re engaging the right audiences.
- Manage event logistics from start to finish—venue selection, vendor negotiation, speaker coordination, and seamless onsite execution.
- Measure event success using data and feedback to continuously improve and optimize for impact.
