About the Role: Wellmark’s Executive Assistant (EA) to the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Health Care and Innovation Officer is responsible for the timely management of directed outputs of the executive office. The development and or ability to proactively plan is key and the information available across the company, is used to anticipate needs and timely actions. With the exposure to confidential information, respects the importance of representing the office as a trusted liaison and advisor with high discretion. Has the ability to cultivate partnerships with all peer levels, establishing themselves as a trusted and valued partner, who handles all aspects professionally, with integrity and ethics. 

This is a fast-paced, ever-changing environment; requiring the ability to proactively handle complex schedules of the EVP and their leadership, to coordinate and execute on all daily meeting elements. The culture of the division is touched through this office whether it be through communications or coordinated division-wide-events, led through this role. The incumbent acts as a subject matter expert on administrative efficiencies and collaborates with division administrative assistants on establishing cohesive division practices and standards to drive consistency and peer-to-peer support throughout. Being highly organized is a given, but layered with the ability to take in and make sense of multiple elements to understand and see the bigger picture will make the incumbent successful.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications – Must have to be considered:

  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Administration, Office Administration, or related
  • 7+ years of related work experience:
    • A minimum of 4 years of experience as an executive assistant or related role in a large, complex organization.
  • Professional, polished and willing to provide the highest level of customer service at all times.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and demonstrated PC skills.
  • Ability to use innovation and initiative to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Evidence of “big picture” perspective and ability to balance competing priorities or conflicting demands.
  • High level of initiative, effort, leadership, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently and anticipating needs of EVP.
  • Strong and effective written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to understand the interdependencies of key stakeholder interactions and create an appropriate level of urgency based on their inquiries.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to solicit cooperation and action from others throughout Wellmark.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment – balance of task and team
