Requirements
- 5+ years of Illinois workers’ compensation claims experience
- Strong writing, math, and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent phone and interpersonal skills
- Excellent Customer Service, following CCMSI best practices
Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, and adjust workers’ compensation claims in compliance with corporate standards and Illinois state laws.
- Establish and recommend reserves within designated authority levels.
- Review and approve medical, legal, and damage-related invoices.
- Negotiate settlements in alignment with client instructions and state regulations.
- Maintain a personal diary of claim activity and prepare comprehensive status reports.
- Compute disability rates and ensure compliance with Illinois jurisdictional laws.
- Effectively communicate with clients, claimants, and vendors throughout the claims process.
- Participate in claim reviews, training sessions, mediations, or hearings as needed.
