Requirements
- Experienced in carpentry, plumbing, locksmithing, and HVAC a must.
- Perform repairs in both front office and back-of-house environments, including furniture, and related equipment.
- Ability to climb ladders, lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Possess a strong understanding of HVAC operations and Building Maintenance Systems (BMS).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the maintenance and professional appearance of the office premises.
- Perform various maintenance and facility tasks, including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, patching and painting, changing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, and responding to facility requests, ensuring timely completion.
- Monitor temperature throughout premises, troubleshoot HVAC problems, and if needed, notify HVAC vendor for repair.
- Assist with office moves, furniture breakdown, installation, reconfigurations, and relocations.
- Perform conference room setups for meetings and events (chairs, flip charts, easels, screens, etc.).
- Serve as a point of contact for external vendors.
- Maintain communications with the Director of Facilities, the Office Services team, and building management.
- Conduct thorough inspections of the premises and report potential hazards or major incidents to the Director of Facilities.
- Work occasionally requires more than 35 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
- Perform other tasks as directed.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Five to ten years of general maintenance experience, preferably in a corporate office environment.
