Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in facilities project management within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial building systems, utilities, and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Experience working with industrial equipment, automation systems, and factory layout planning.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, etc.).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% based on project workload and location.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Help lead global facilities standardization including finishes, construction methods, and utility metering.
  • Lead facilities projects that focus on the reduction of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions in our manufacturing, labs, and distribution facilities across the globe.
  • Work closely with the Copeland Enterprise Sustainability team to develop standard processes and procedures that will drive Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions reductions.
  • Lead facility projects, including new builds, expansions, equipment installations, and utility upgrades.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules while ensuring alignment with manufacturing operations and office staff.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to assess project needs and execution strategies.
  • Oversee construction, vendor management, and contractor activities to ensure quality and compliance with plant requirements.
  • Minimize production downtime by implementing strategic project scheduling and risk management.
  • Ensure the facility infrastructure, utilities, and systems are optimized for manufacturing needs.
  • Identify and implement energy efficiency and sustainability improvements to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist in space planning for production lines, warehousing, and employee work areas to maximize facility utilization.
  • Ensure the successful integration of new equipment into existing production lines and facility systems.
  • Develop capital expenditure proposals and manage project budgets efficiently.
  • Work with procurement teams to source contractors, negotiate vendor contracts, and oversee vendor performance.
  • Track project expenses, report cost variances, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with third-party service providers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in facilities project management within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of building management and/or automation systems (BMS/BAS).
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability specific to facility construction and operations.
  • Knowledge in implementing ISO14001 and ISO50001.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • OSHA 30-Hour Safety Certification
