Facility Technician II

HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
DL-Valid Drivers License Class C Upon Hire
Knowledge of all building components (i.e., boilers, fuels, piping systems, roof building structures, air conditioning systems, grounds etc.)
Able to read, write, and speak the English Language
Complete knowledge of the system, theory and procedures for repair and maintenance in one of the following areas: electrical, air conditioning and refrigeration, pressure vessel boiler, plumbing and carpentry
Considerable knowledge of electrical theory and procedures for repairing and maintaining the system
Considerable knowledge of air-conditioning, refrigeration and heating control systems, including air balance and system calibration procedures for repair and maintenance
Considerable knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and procedures for repair and maintenance
Considerable knowledge of procedures, materials and tools used in commercial building remodels and cabinet construction
Considerable knowledge of uniform electrical and building codes
Considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the building and mechanical trades
Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials used in the building trades
Ability to inspect systems and buildings to detect existing or potential problems
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Ability to analyze situations and develop an effective course of action

Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled, maintaining the predetermined completion ratio
Maintains mechanical spaces, as needed to ensure cosmetic appearance
Completes basic preventative maintenance, cleaning and general replacement of parts not requiring certification or advanced training
