Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience with Turbo Machinery Validation Testing
  • Previous experience with Gas Turbine NPI Instrumentation (New Product Introduction); setup and operation of Dynamic Data Acquisition Systems at Customer sites
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
  • This position is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville, SC plant
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the hardware modification process, ensuring correct instrumentation methodology is followed by Technicians and suppliers
  • Assisting in the development and documentation of Hardware Modifications
  • Operation of all instrumentation and data systems required to conduct gas turbine engineering development tests
  • Responsible for execution of laboratory and field validation testing, inspection and data acquisition for use in the design and validation of products and services
  • Responsible for design and construction of test facilities, test rigs, instrumentation systems and the development of test software
  • Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy
  • May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework
  • Develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Established project management skills
  • Project leadership skills specifically around Hardware schedules and ability to work in team environment
  • Product knowledge of GE gas turbine, generators, Steam Turbines, and Aeroderivative units
