Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience with Turbo Machinery Validation Testing
- Previous experience with Gas Turbine NPI Instrumentation (New Product Introduction); setup and operation of Dynamic Data Acquisition Systems at Customer sites
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
- This position is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville, SC plant
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the hardware modification process, ensuring correct instrumentation methodology is followed by Technicians and suppliers
- Assisting in the development and documentation of Hardware Modifications
- Operation of all instrumentation and data systems required to conduct gas turbine engineering development tests
- Responsible for execution of laboratory and field validation testing, inspection and data acquisition for use in the design and validation of products and services
- Responsible for design and construction of test facilities, test rigs, instrumentation systems and the development of test software
- Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy
- May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework
- Develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
- Project leadership skills specifically around Hardware schedules and ability to work in team environment
- Product knowledge of GE gas turbine, generators, Steam Turbines, and Aeroderivative units
