Requirements
- Current Michigan RN License
- Prior Nurse Case Management experience in workers’ compensation, trauma, rehabilitation therapy, or occupational medicine
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Outlook
- High attention to detail with strong documentation and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans to facilitate optimal recovery and return-to-work outcomes
- Act as a resource for claimants, adjusters, physicians, employers, and attorneys, fostering non-adversarial relationships
- Review all medical records to assess treatment necessity, appropriateness, and effectiveness
- Conduct on-site visits to claimants, physician offices, and district clinics, providing hands-on support
- Maintain case files per CCMSI guidelines, documenting all care, treatment plans, and cost-saving measures
- Participate in team roundtables, medical reviews, and strategic discussions to enhance claim resolution
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with workers’ compensation regulations in Michigan
- Experience coordinating independent medical evaluations and treatment referrals
