Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience as a field producer
- Experience with producing news packages
- Strong logistical and editorial skills with knowledge of national and international stories
- Keen understanding of how to set up interviews
- Ability to be a self-starter who can work independently, as well as a team player
- Must be flexible with your schedule and willing to work both weekdays and weekends
Responsibilities
- Pitch unique feature stories
- Be read-in and remain updated with current events and topics of interest
- Work with bookers, producers, and talent to conduct pre-interviews, book travel, etc to produce compelling and informative packages
- Work with production crews (camera, sound, lighting) to ensure the best visuals for field shoots
