Requirements

  • Know and apply standard accounting principles, financial control procedures, computerized accounting systems/software, and financial management.

  • B. S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in public accounting and/or financial management at a supervisory level or as department head.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises Finance Department Staff Accountants and other accounting functions including Accounts Receivable.
  • Assigns and coordinates event settlements and event reporting within Finance Department.
  • Serves as primary day to day contact for Tenant Finance Departments.
  • Ensures high quality of communication and coordination between Finance Department and key internal and external event stakeholders.
  • Supervises the monthly accounting cycle and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Assists with preparation of financial statements for the client and ASM Global corporate including monthly statements, annual budgets and reports.
  • Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and serves as primary audit contact.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and job costing concepts.

  • Demonstrates the skills and abilities for producing highly accurate financial results.
  • Excellent math skills: high aptitude for accrual-based accounting processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and organizational ability.
  • The ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information is required.
  • Effective supervisory and management skills.
