Requirements
- Minimum requirement five (5) years of experience.
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or MBA (preferred).
- Experience in a Financial Analyst or Accounting role, preferred manufacturing environment experience.
- Ability to work independently and with agility on key deliverables and lead financial discussions.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills; continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong communication (written and oral) skills; ability to summarize and succinctly tell the financial story to non-financial business partners.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal control concepts.
- Proactive, positive ‘can do’ attitude.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial leadership to the GMC team to help develop and achieve short range, annual and long-range plans.
- Develop strong business partnerships within the GMC business to help enable accountability and delivery of commitments.
- Learn all aspects of the GMC business, including markets, customers, products and operations.
- Develop and provide financial models for business initiatives by gathering inputs from business partners and validating key assumptions, to ensure the initiatives support business goals (revenue growth, margin expansion, investments).
- Educate business partners on financial concepts and accounting principles to facilitate improved decision making across the business.
- Lead the monthly financial review process and help drive business initiatives together with the Vice President, GMC, including analyzing and summarizing historical results and future projections; ‘tell the story’ to the GMC leadership team to help improve their understanding of the financials.
- Partner with Operations Finance to understand, analyze and evaluate gross margin drivers to improve business decisions.
- Analyze effect of changes in business conditions and communicate impact on cost structure and profitability.
- Provide the business owners with monthly financial KPI reports.
- Work directly in forecasting and reporting systems to ensure accuracy and reliability of GMC financial projections and information.
- Financial leader in the global execution of GMC’s planning & forecasting process, in adherence to corporate guidelines and processes.
- Collaborate with GMC leaders to prepare detailed budgets and forecasts, including sales, hiring plans, operating expenses, and capex.
- Support the demand/sales forecasting process and understand key assumptions in sales pipelines, sales prices, etc.
- Have a flexible work schedule to allow for occasional evening meetings with business partners located in Asia.
- Completes ad-hoc miscellaneous tasks as needed to support the overall organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Financial Analyst or Accounting role, preferred manufacturing environment experience.
- Strong collaboration skills preferred.
- Proficient, to advanced, SAP, Excel and PowerPoint skills; Power BI a plus.
