Requirements
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, resourceful, and reliable.
- Strong Excel skills (advanced functions like INDEX/MATCH, advanced Pivot Tables, and data modeling/intermediate knowledge of PowerBI).
- Must be highly motivated, detailed-oriented, and possess strong analytical skills.
- Possess the ability to manage larger datasets and complex reports with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data and Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
- 3+ years of professional working experience (preferably within a law firm or professional services).
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide actionable insights to management.
- Take independent ownership of financial models and reporting.
- Develop and modify reports, working with senior team members to incorporate improvements and refinements in templates and processes.
- Assist with the reconciliation of financial data and ensure consistency and accuracy across the dashboard and other reporting tools.
- Develop clear, insightful, and well-organized reporting documentation to ensure transparency and understanding of financial data across all stakeholders.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Assist Finance/Accounting management with special projects. Assist with annual issues, as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a law firm or professional services preferred.
- CPA and/or advanced degree, knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) are preferred.
- Familiarity with financial software (e.g., Aderant, Elite, or similar financial systems) is a plus.
