Requirements

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, resourceful, and reliable.
  • Strong Excel skills (advanced functions like INDEX/MATCH, advanced Pivot Tables, and data modeling/intermediate knowledge of PowerBI).
  • Must be highly motivated, detailed-oriented, and possess strong analytical skills.
  • Possess the ability to manage larger datasets and complex reports with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data and Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional working experience (preferably within a law firm or professional services).
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to provide actionable insights to management.
  • Take independent ownership of financial models and reporting.
  • Develop and modify reports, working with senior team members to incorporate improvements and refinements in templates and processes.
  • Assist with the reconciliation of financial data and ensure consistency and accuracy across the dashboard and other reporting tools.
  • Develop clear, insightful, and well-organized reporting documentation to ensure transparency and understanding of financial data across all stakeholders.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Assist Finance/Accounting management with special projects. Assist with annual issues, as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a law firm or professional services preferred.
  • CPA and/or advanced degree, knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) are preferred.
  • Familiarity with financial software (e.g., Aderant, Elite, or similar financial systems) is a plus.
