Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial reports and interpret cost data to provide insights to research personnel and sponsors.
  • Monitor project spending, analyze variances, address funding challenges, and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Oversee funds control for purchases, subcontracts, service contracts, travel, material orders, effort charges, and other expenditures.
  • Develop cost estimates and financial documentation for SPP and DOE proposal submissions, and agreements under guidance.
  • Support the development and maintenance of budget information, financial data, and provide financial assistance to division staff.
  • Recommend actionable plans and decisions based on detailed financial analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as accounting, budget office, the Sponsored Research Office, procurement, HR, and others.
  • Deliver oral and written reports, using charts, graphs, and spreadsheets to present financial and operational trends effectively.
  • Enhance efficiency by recommending and implementing automated financial tools and coordinating information needs.
