Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with working knowledge office practices and procedures, departmental rules and regulations
  • Ability to perform data entry in a computer and extract information from various reports and spreadsheets
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports, legal and regulatory documents
  • Ability to understand and perform arithmetic functions

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, co-workers, employees and officials in other departments
  • Bachelor Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related major preferred
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a transportation, logistics, supply chain management, or operational support role
  • Requires 1 to 3 years of prior experience managing, analyzing and drawing conclusions from data.

Responsibilities

  • Applies information collected from logistics technologies to improve safety and distribution effectiveness (i.e. reduce cost ($) per mile, increase cylinders / cylinder equivalents (CE) delivered per mile, CE per hr)
  • As a subject matter expert in the use of the TRIPS route optimization tool which may require interactions with regional distribution locations to ensure routing data is current and that optimized routes are being adhered to.
  • Recommends and implements network studies based on performance opportunities (Paragon). This requires that the individual can successfully complete studies and influence stakeholders to implement findings. Analyzes adherence to Network Studies (Paragon). Provides feedback to ensure study benefits are being captured.
  • Reviews performance of Microbulk distributions leveraging the FAST tool to identify overall microbulk effectiveness
  • Recommends logistic / fleet performance improvements opportunities and initiatives by analyzing data and presenting to stakeholders
  • Provide project support for new initiatives (e.g. Handheld devices, RF Scanners).
  • Ensures that all logistics / fleet analysis and recommendations fully take into account the
  • Troubleshoots and investigates distribution and logistics issues and makes recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Determines budgeting and forecasting of cost performance by region and identifies areas for improvement in fleet and logistics
  • Creates / publishes reports on logistics and fleet for the division and explains performance to the regional stakeholders
  • Conduct training on all aspects of fleet and logistics operations such as training on tools, reports, and continuous improvement projects as required.
  • Provide project management assistance as directed by Fleet and Logistics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related major preferred
