Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business degree
  • 5 years’ work experience in jet propulsion, engine maintenance, field service, or customer technical support, or advanced degree and 3 years’ experience in the same fields
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist P&W Site Manager to ensure all objectives of the F119 Contractor Support Plan are met.
  • Support flight line operations to ensure no sorties are missed due to engine issues. When issues do arise, troubleshoot, and return engine to service in a timely manner.
  • Utilize P&W tools such as MERLIN, ADATS & TOD to assist in providing cohesive, accurate, and timely support.
  • Continue to support successful maturation and improvement of the F119 support systems such as AEFR, IMIS, and TOD.
  • Support our customers on all maintenance levels of the F119 engine including Limited Intermediate, P&W Full Intermediate, On-wing Organizational levels.
  • Provide leadership and direction to hourly personnel with emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communication, managing priorities and resolving conflict.
  • Coordinate F119 propulsion system maintenance activities in the P&W engine shop.
  • Lead investigations involving technician maintenance, experience, and processes to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure maintenance capabilities are maintained and improved through management of technician certifications, training, performance assessments, and coaching. Also, manage the selection, interview, and hiring of technicians.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership, relationship management, and conflict resolution is a plus.
  • Experience with F-22/F119 or military engines, its support systems, and use of TOD.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with USAF military operations and maintenance practices, AFI 21-101, Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS), Comprehensive Engine Management & Integrated Maintenance Data Systems (CEMS/ IMDS).
  • Operational experience in a Maintenance/Repair/Overhaul engine facility or Hands-on assembly/disassembly experience on gas-turbine engines.
