10+ years software engineering experience building enterprise SaaS cloud-based solutions
8+ years of development experience with Ruby on Rails
5+ years of development experience with React
5+ years of test automation development using RSpec, Cucumber or similar
Demonstrated understanding of relational database concepts and modeling practices (Postgres, MongoDB)
Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary technology groups
Ability to work in an Agile / Kanban methodology
Ability to work independently or as part of a group effort, as required
Solid problem-solving ability
Excellent communication skills
Collaborative approach to software development

Write high-quality code according to guidelines and patterns.
Guide the team with a strong understanding of software engineering concepts.
Implement agile practices using methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
Lead technical design following architecture guidelines and ensure adherence to architecture and security standards.
Manage the day-to-day work of the team, lead larger system buildouts, and set clear expectations.
Ensure everyone understands the goals and context and implement ceremonies for well-defined work.
Encourage cross-team collaboration and assimilate new joiners into the team.
Provide mentorship, negotiate plans of action with stakeholders, and facilitate interactions with the team.
Embrace company culture and values, foster team spirit, practice active listening, and handle interpersonal conflicts.
Act as a partner to the product manager in setting up the roadmap for the team.
