Requirements

  • Ability to create / maintain mechanical models and drawings for large Power Generation Equipment.
  • Ability to create / maintain bill of materials.
  • Following direction from engineers and Senior Designers to complete designs: Retrieving design input information, Executing design details per standard GE practice and documentation, Issuing drawings, models and Bill of Materials per documented GE processes.
  • Help define/maintain and meet scheduled dates for design related activities, and provide early communication to alert management of issues.
  • Understand GD&T principles and GE drawing standards and capable to create high quality detailed drawings with SIM TO products/features.
  • Create detailed markups, create new drawings and have a full understanding of detailing processes/standards.
  • Understanding of part attributes and their functionality.
  • Proficient in PLM and able to mentor others in use of PLM.
  • Experience in design/drafting or component design.
  • Technical Degree / Certification or relevant working experience.
