Requirements
- A minimum of twelve years of industry experience
- Understanding of the fundamentals of petroleum geoscience
- Strong technical skills in data management
- Excellent understanding of geoscience and engineering applications
- Experienced with SQL/scripting and database architecture
- Familiarity with Spotfire, PowerBI, and Sharepoint
- Demonstrates the ability to learn quickly, develop automated workflows
- Innovative thinker with a desire to implement new ideas, processes, and technologies
- Results-oriented with excellent time management skills and with the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently and meet tight deadlines
- Collaborative and a strong team player with effective interpersonal skills
- Takes initiative for individual and group success, independently tackles problems, and assumes ownership of challenging work or projects
- Ability to communicate effectively to management and peers
Responsibilities
- Loading and transferring data between Landmark Openworks/DSG, Petrel/Studio, ArcGIS and other applications
- Understanding, manipulating, and validating well and production data, log data, core data, and seismic data
- Generating multi-dimensional maps from raw data to finished product often requiring complex geoprocessing functions and incorporating multiple data sources
- Strong knowledge of coordinate reference systems, transformations, and spatial positioning
- Understanding of Python and/or other programming language for scripting
- Creation and maintenance of enterprise tools including Atlas webmaps and dashboards
- Identifying, documenting, and communicating standards and best practices to the Geoscience Tech Support team and participating in knowledge capture and sharing
