Requirements
- US Citizenship is required
- Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI, or a Top Secret clearance with a current SSBI, and be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI w/ poly level clearance
- Bachelors Degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or MS with 2+ years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in a technical domain
- Must have a degree in an Engineering Geology, Geology or Mining/Geotechnical Engineering discipline
- Experience in lieu of degree
- Strong background in geomechanics, computer modeling, field geophysics, and tunnel/slope rock mass characterization geotechnical engineering
- Experience with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) tools and data (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise) and familiarity with the MATLAB software.
Responsibilities
- Daily broad-based understanding of geological and geotechnical engineering disciplines in a defense environment
- Use open-source materials, exploitation products, intelligence resources and geotechnical expertise to produce intelligence to characterize selected sites
- Provide geotechnical guidance and judgment throughout the characterization process to produce accurate intelligence estimates
- Perform imagery analysis using a variety of NTM and commercial imagery to assess geotechnical conditions
- Prepare briefings and/or reports to document geotechnical assessment and present findings to customers and/or colleagues
- Use geospatial software tools (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise) and a variety of vector and raster data to analyze and document the geology and geotechnical characteristics of a site.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer accreditation.
- Military or defense-related experience and an understanding of operational planning
- Experience in remote sensing applications related to geological or geotechnical analysis
- Working knowledge of weapons, weapons effects, and geologic material response under such loads
- Experience with conducting geologic and geophysical (seismic, GPR, etc.) fieldwork and data processing.
