Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business or Risk Management from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of control systems, DCS, and industrial automation technologies.
  • Significant experience in commercial risk management and control systems within the energy sector.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing risk management programs in the energy sector.
  • Experience working with leadership and cross-functional teams in a global business environment
  • Strong commercial acumen and knowledge in Risk Mitigation and Management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global risk management framework for the Controls Services & Solutions (CSS) business line, with focus on: technical, execution, commercial, financial, and other risks.
  • Evaluate & maintain standards for establishing project technical and commercial complexity, and associated risk mitigation processes
  • Coach and support global risk mitigation managers and the commercial operations staff to analyze risks and rewards, considering factors such as terms and conditions, technical risks, margin, and payments.
  • Collaborate with the commercial operations teams to assess evolving risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Own and maintain the commercial Risk Checklist and Deal Risk Register process to capture, quantify and mitigate business risk.
  • Streamline the CSS intra-business risk mitigation process across GE Vernova
  • Partner with TRS, legal and compliance teams to interpret and implement global and regional regulatory changes affecting Controls Services & Solutions (CSS) business line.
  • Serve as an advisor to the Global Commercial Operations Leader and the Commercial Review Board on deal risk reviews to enhance business decision-making.
  • Provide risk management training and awareness programs for commercial staff and key stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation in risk management approaches, help develop risk management tools, leveraging new technologies such as GenAI.
  • Conduct business line risk assessments & support risk audits.
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements to continuously improve risk management frameworks.
  • Analyze emerging threats, including cyber risks, geopolitical concerns, regulatory changes, and technological advancements that may impact Controls Services & Solutions (CSS) business line.
