Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience in shipping and receiving.
- 5 or more years of experience in domestic and international shipping.
- Ability to manage diverse assignments concurrently and work with a sense of urgency.
- Capable of working independently and making decisions based on established policies and procedures.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship leadership skills to effectively collaborate with various levels of the organization.
- Developing partnership and teamwork skills, with the ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee both international and domestic shipments to and from the Charlotte Technical Center.
- Prepare necessary documentation for international shipments, including customs forms, ATA carnets, and more.
- Collaborate with the Environmental team to handle the shipment of dangerous goods from the site.
- Transport materials from local partner race team shops.
- Manage and distribute supplies and materials throughout the Charlotte Technical Center.
- Ensure compliance with corporate purchasing and safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain frequent contact with individuals outside the work group.
- Prepare and package critical materials for shipping from the Charlotte Technical Center.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in shipping and receiving within the motorsports industry.
- Experience in shipping and receiving for General Motors.
- 1-3 years of experience in shipping dangerous goods.
