Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Background in GPU, CPU, DSP or ISP architecture
  • Software skills and proficiency in C/C++, XSL, and a scripting language such as Python or Ruby

Responsibilities

  • Working with architecture, design and software partners on the definition & tuning of Apple’s future GPU Programmable Shader Core
  • Extending and modifying the architecture, including the instruction set for the Shader Core
  • Contributing to the development of prototype software implementations for simulated future hardware
  • Gathering data and measurements to validate or invalidate concepts

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience
  • Familiarity with simulation environments
  • Ability to take ideas from concept to C/C++ simulator implementation
  • Experience working as part of large cross-functional teams
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex issues
  • Self-motivated and well-organized
