Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Background in GPU, CPU, DSP or ISP architecture
- Software skills and proficiency in C/C++, XSL, and a scripting language such as Python or Ruby
Responsibilities
- Working with architecture, design and software partners on the definition & tuning of Apple’s future GPU Programmable Shader Core
- Extending and modifying the architecture, including the instruction set for the Shader Core
- Contributing to the development of prototype software implementations for simulated future hardware
- Gathering data and measurements to validate or invalidate concepts
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience
- Familiarity with simulation environments
- Ability to take ideas from concept to C/C++ simulator implementation
- Experience working as part of large cross-functional teams
- Ability to clearly communicate complex issues
- Self-motivated and well-organized
