Requirements
- B.S. degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or related technical degree
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Proficiency in the use of standard electronic lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power meters, data acquisition cards, etc)
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Responsibilities
- Design and code automated test equipment software to support formal and informal verification of avionics requirements (qualification and acceptance testing)
- Create and release drawings of the test hardware infrastructure, rack layouts, harnesses, breakout boxes/panels, power distribution, and grounding.
- Participate in the requirements, design, and architecture
- Develop software for various prototype objectives
- Integrate software models, sensor drivers, and hardware emulators
- Support the integration of flight avionics, operator consoles, and test equipment to verify the requirements and performance of the flight software
- Support problem investigation and resolution
- Establish and follow software development processes to ensure test equipment software is reliable, released and configuration managed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing avionics labs, electrical ground support equipment, and/or test assets for hardware in the loop testing
- Familiarity with sensors including linear variable differential transformers, resistance temperature detectors, thermocouples, pressure transducers, and resolvers
- Experience with IP networking (IEEE 802.3)
- Experience with communications protocol RS-422/485
- Experience planning, executing, and reporting electronics testing
