Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues, including circuit board debugging and component-level troubleshooting (e.g., understanding and working with resistors).
  • Experience in developing and executing test scripts to validate hardware functionality and identify defects.
  • Proficient in Python scripting for test automation, particularly in embedded systems environments (Android and Linux preferred). Experience with shell scripting (Bash) in a Unix environment.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware lab equipment, including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Ability to write code and perform hands-on testing, demonstrating a blend of software and hardware expertise.
  • Hardware Validation Strategy Development: Ability to design and document comprehensive hardware validation strategies, including testing protocols, timelines, and tool integration.
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with engineering and other teams on hardware testing projects, contributing to efficient validation processes.
  • Experience in identifying potential risks in hardware validation (e.g., performance, connectivity) and developing mitigation plans.
  • Commitment to refining hardware testing methodologies through participation in retrospectives and implementation of process improvements.
