Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience
- 5 – 10+ years of experience in proposal management focused on Federal and/or state and local government solicitations, invitations to bid, and responses.
- Proven track record of effective/strong leadership; leading teams of 10+ individuals
- 8 – 10+ years of experience as a people leader, including leadership of virtual teams.
- Working knowledge of proposal development life cycles and understanding of Shipley or other proposal development processes.
- Demonstrated ability to and experience in working efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience interacting with personnel in senior leadership positions to present challenges/issues impacting proposal quality and recommending solutions.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
Responsibilities
- Guide and Mentor: Oversee a talented team of proposal managers, writers, and coordinators, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Strategic Leadership: Drive the successful development and delivery of all Public Sector wireline proposals, ensuring readiness, compliance, and quality.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage daily with high-achieving executive leadership, account teams, and capture managers to ensure cutting-edge proposal development and delivery.
- Talent Development: Recruit, develop, and empower your team, setting performance goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Process Optimization: Refine and enhance proposal processes, tools, and templates, driving efficiency and innovation. Collaborate across departments to implement best practices and knowledge management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- Experience supporting the development and implementation of process/tool improvements in the proposal industry.
- Experience with set-up/use of proposal collaboration tools and knowledge management tools.
- Experience working with Partners, including Systems Integrators, Business Agents, etc…
